Greetings, Comet Nation!

Our Comet Teams collected some more wins to finish the week out strong in Arizona, plus we found out on Friday evening that our WBB team has an All-American Honorable Mention athlete on it’s squad!

Softball:

Our Lady Comets played 4 games to finish out their week, splitting the set of 4 with 2 wins and 2 losses. The Comets won first over Hamline, 9-5, then fell to Midland later in the day in a 7-5 loss.

Friday’s action had battles with Robert Morris again as well as Benedictine-Mesa. They fought to a 4-2 victory over RM and fell to a hot-hitting Benedictine-Mesa team in an 11-1 loss. Overall, they went 6-4 on the trip, which boosts their overall record to 7-11 on the season thus far.

A huge congratulations goes out to #42, Andi Gayner on the Lady Comets Basketball team!

She’s been selected as an NAIA All-American, Honorable Mention selection!

Coming off a stunning season where the Junior from Dassel, MN was the NSAA leading scorer (19.1 pts/game) and almost averaging a double-double (7.9 boards/game), Andi’s talents have taken her far this season.

She recorded many double-double games and was the NSAA Player of the Week twice.

She’ll undoubtedly help lead the Lady Comets as a high performer next season for her final one as a Comet.

A Job Well Done, Andi Gayner!
